It's time to write a Birthday poem
For Dale the undisputed.
He doesn't like for poems to rhyme,
So, won't say "undilluted."
It would be best (the thought occurs)
To leave it without meter,
For dah duh dah duh dah duh dah
Just might annoy the reader.
And so, this poem is avant garde,
Or ever how you spell it.
I bet it sounds just like I am
A literary zealot.
So happy birthday, Wisely, Dale,
And Heatherton, Miss Joey,
May health and what not e'er be thine,
As your last few hairs turn snowy.
For Dale the undisputed.
