That'd be Chris Wilkes, no doubt!
I do apologize if I asked something tsk-worthy!

Thanks, Stuart.

No more lichen?

Post by fyffer »

Just wanted to bump this thread up to the top to remind myself (when I get home from work) and others (Please!) to post their flutie nudies!

If you show me yours, I'll show you mine ...

Well, if you'll permit a few images of "older ladies" among your flute lichen, you might like to check out my recently revised Research Collection page:

This 12 key System Perfectionee is the latest acquisition:

Hey Terry, just checked out the link to your collection and well, can we all come and stay(& play) at your place? The long flight would be worth it I think!
Yes of course it was meant to sound that way!

I wonder if I'm the only one who's mind popped to the Tipple Flute-Man avatar upon seeing the title of this thread.
We can dance if we want to
We can leave your friends behind
Cause your friends don't dance and if they don't dance
Well they're no friends of mine.

OK, I finally got around to getting some digipics of a couple of my flutes. I don't see *any* Healys in this thread, so here are mine.

First pic: My Healy Bb fife (Blackwood, Pink Ivory headjoint) and my Healy D keyless (number 100!)

Image

And now a closeup of the fife, in pieces. This baby get's a lot of attention and work these days, hence the wear and scratches. Makes it look more authentic, IMO.

Image

The cutaway embouchure on the flute. Pardon the blurry pic, but my cam was too close. You can also see the cutaway pretty well in the next picture.

Image

Next, a pic of the beautiful sterling silver tenons on the flute. No cork grease or dental floss ever required!

Image

and another view of the flute in pieces ...

Image

OK. Now, I showed you mine -- show me yours!! :P

What a cool flute!
Now I know what y'all mean when you say the flute is "like a banana"!

Too nice and humid here for those happenings, I'd guess!
My boxwood flutes are positively straight. :o

That would be the special ergonomic model for short-armed players.

Attention, Ladies and Gentlemen:

We have a 'Liquefy' Grand Master on the flight deck.

(. and nice Pshop, treeshark!)

Maybe if the name had been Ivy & Wood instead of the other way 'round ... ?

Awwww... now everybody knows it wasn't real... I think this is first time I've ever found that filter useful!
