I definitely missed everytime when it had to be one of the "all above" or similar buttons, so definitely understanding problems on my side. Jens, I am gobsmacked! VERY good!

It was fun to do it though and it would be interesting to know how the result would be, if they had the option "non-native-speakers" as well.

Was fun!

Cran, I am untypical German as I am often too lazy to correct Colin's German, in fact we mostly speak English so I am profiting from his corrections :D

....and even now I still do not like beer and you should see the looks I get when I say so...."what German and don't drink beer" :o hehe....

"You scored 100% Beginner, 100% Intermediate, 93% Advanced, and 77% Expert!"

It also told me that I scored higher than 100% of people in my age group in all categories. Does it just say that to everybody? Several people have said that they were given that statistic.

It gave me all those 100% stats too. And to most of the rest of the Chiffboard. This is starting to sound statistically improbable.

I'm almost surprised there was no solicitation at the end. See, once I took the verbal iq test on the website of the International High IQ Society (yes, yes, dumb name, yes,) and I scored pretty well. Whereupon there popped up an immediate offer for me to send them $50 so I could join their bro/sisterhood of equally gullib...I mean, intelligent folk. That dampened my enthusiasm a wee regarding the validity of their iq tests.

As a person learning German who does not eat meat or drink alcohol, I can definately relate!

My inclination was "whilst," but I decided "while" was probably what they wanted.

My score was like Cran's, except that the second one was 93.

I don't get it. Good thing the test didn't cover math skills. I'd've died.

The test is fraudulent. I certainly know the difference and applications of "its" and "it's" (just to cite one example of possible word confusion), and made no such mistakes in the test. Trust me.

OK, I was a geology major, and English wasn't my strong suit. However, in high school I had this manic teacher named Mr. Casey who liked to scream at me if I made a grammatical mistake. I remember working very hard on a research paper in my senior year of high school. My paper was about the basic virtues of the Greeks, like wisdom, courage, temperance, and justice. However, I got a C grade on the paper, mainly because I had two typos. We didn't have word processors then. I had to borrow my uncle Lestor's electric typewriter in his insurance office, after hours, of course. By the time I had the paper finished I was so exhausted that all I wanted to do was to go to sleep. At 12:50 PM I am beginning to feel like that now.

Seems like a lousy score to me, despite what the site says. Grammar, especially diagraming sentences always bored me. The test had a similar effect. zzzz
