Well, being prone to the paranoia naturally induced by sobriety, I checked on it (to make sure I wasn't going to go from bad to worse) and what I read was that it was still "vatted" in Dublin, and the company's headquarters were there, but was now actually produced at another distillery in Midleton, Co. Cork. Be just my luck that was wrong too. Eek.
Best,

I'll forgive yours if you forgive mine (though mine was much worse) ... As my penance, how about if I promise to secure a bottle of Jameson's right away; to consume it with all deliberate speed; and under no circumstances to resort to the sad and disrespectful American habit of only putting it into my coffee?dubhlinn wrote: Well I'll be.....

Nanohedron had a bottle,Nanohedron wrote:It's a start. Hmmm...I E E S I.....
Maybe an acronym from something in Latin?
I E E S I
And on that bottle were some dots,
I E E S I
With a dot dot here,
And a dot dot there,
Here a dot, there a dot,
Everywhere a dot dot,
Nanohedron had a bottle,

New bottle:

I won't go into the distillery lot number on the neck label. That's just to throw us off from the real issue of what is codified in glass. What is crucial to note is the double space after the first three dots. Well, you'll have to trust me on this. The message body function doesn't recognise more than one space subsequent in a line, so I can't actually SHOW you how it looks. Just trust me. Nevertheless, a presumption to vigilance and a reasonable facsimile of clarity are called for in these matters. One might have easily missed the double space!
But I must also admit to lapses. It is JOHN Jameson and Son, not Geo., etc., the numeral following the dots previous was 29, and I made the mistake of rendering the product's name in the possesive/genitive/whatever. I'm still deciding whether or not to correct the latter in the thread title.

I find it meet that just a small amount at a time with just an ice cube of filtered water to chill and temper it fills the bill. I fear that my way may approach the philistine, but I have donned my flameproof pants (undies to us Yanks) just in case, and am prepared for the worst. I await conflagration.scottielvr wrote:I'll forgive yours if you forgive mine (though mine was much worse) ... Well then, I must assume that this is, indeed, too big for me to grasp. Probably because I've never, in my entire life, had a drink of whiskey. (I get enough of a buzz from Imperial Russian Stout.)amar wrote:my friend, there is a time for everything, for jokes, for fun, for seriousness.
We are talking about a revelation here...do not belittle this matter...
