Because you have MLK day the month before which usually serves to get the festivities going several weeks early? :really:

Why does HIV/AIDS get a single day, while breast cancer gets an entire month and other deadly diseases get 0 days or months?

Please discuss.

Why do they get any days at all?

Shouldn't they be realized and understood and get attention 24/7? (And don't they already)?

The only diseases that get the attention they deserve are those whose cures are found.

I agree, though, that setting aside certain days as 'holidays' (holy days) is fickle. We should live each day as if it were equally holy.

Actually, there is a National Asian/Pacific Islander Month. October, maybe? I have no idea why Asians and Pacific Islanders are wrapped into one. If for genetic reasons, Native Americans should be included, not to mention there are Asians of different races. If for cultural reasons, I think someone's missing something.

Honestly, February has been Black History Month for some time. I think it is good that we have it, and I don't think that it is a conspiracy that it's two or three days shorter than any otehr month.

So... who ya whistlin' for in the Super Bowl?

Just hard to tell 'em all apart, I guess. :P

Three cheers for all our International Friends, and a Hip Hip Huzzah for all the mere National ones too.

Now I can chat and post all month without the usual feelings of guilt.
