I had a viking avatar for a long time but I can't find it.
This guy from Uppsala told me all the really tough Swedes were off with Gustavus Adolphus in the 17th century while the less tough stayed home thereby weakening the gene pool. Apparently he was making excuses for himself.
That's probably because the Swede vikings traveled more to the east through Russia to Byzantium. Since the Danes and Norwegians liked to pillage western Europe and settled Iceland and Greenland, it's gotten more attention in western history books.Henke wrote:I do believe you did tell me at some point a while ago... Here's a link to a bunch of them. It's where I got my current avatar: http://www.osterholm.info/vikings/Flyingcursor wrote:I had a viking avatar for a long time but I can't find it.
Failure is NOT an option - it comes bundled with the software.

Okay, you guys have awakened my ancestral blood; I must assume my true identity (avatar).
There! We are all Scandahoovian brothers! Praise be to Odin!
There's only one problem. My Irish ancestral blood had managed to keep my Viking blood at bay. But now they are entering into the age-old battle.
Damn, I'd hoped to avoid this... there'll be blood-shed.
Wow! Great Viking site, norseman.
