What's the Ratio of Men to Women Whistlers?

Post by Jeff Stallard »

I thought for sure someone would have brought this up before, but I looked back through May 2004 and couldn't find a poll, so here it is. If I missed one that was recently posted, then I apologize.

What got me thinking about this poll was noticing how many women I saw posting here. It doesn't bother me either way, but I am curious what gender favors this instrument.

Wow. For the first time I'm actually 100% of the vote! It'll change quickly, but it's nice to hold the power for one moment.

I too was thinking about this recently. My guess is that it would be pretty much even but who knows? The poll will tell.

I hear women are more likely to participate in polls.
My opinion is stupid and wrong.

This poll will, of course, be skewed by the ratio of men:women who enjoy noodling with computer forums.

Wow, it's neck-and-neck out of the gate. Come on guys! We can't let no chicks beat us! First they started wearing our pants, and now it's our whistles.

Huh? Wear a whistle? I couldn't even fit my hips into a tuba.
I sing the birdie tune
It makes the birdies swoon
It sends them to the moon
Just like a big balloon

If you're bothered by us women wearing your pants (although, Jeff, I can honestly say that I have never worn your pants ), then you can "get us back" so to speak and start wearing our dresses if you'd like

AND while you're at it, throw on one of those darned uncomfortable underwire contraptions we're expected to wear around our chests! :D
