Looking for your opinion

Post by Joshua Dukes »

Happy New Year everyone. I just posted two of my tunes that I wrote a couple of months ago. The two reels are actualy in the rotation of tunes as of late at my local session in DC. I am very happy that other session members liked it enough to take a couple of minuets to learn them. I figured that these two tunes would have been forgoten like so many other originals. If you have a chance check out the link from clips and snips and let me know what you think. I'm playing both flute and guitar. I have a getto set up for recording but it worked good enough to post this recording. The names of the tunes are The Long Ride Home and The Tall Glass Of Wiskey.

Cheers

I'm not experienced enough to give an opinion other than this: It sounds great! Thanks for sharing.

Hey Josh, great tunes! But ya know, to me that second one feels more like a venti Smithwick's than a tall glass of whiskey. It has that elusive quality to it... ''

Tell us something.: I play the first flute Jon Cochran ever made but haven't been very active on the board the last 9-10 years. Life happens I guess...I owned a keyed M&E flute for a while and I kind of miss it.
