5 Reg Froment Set
Who does this set belong to? anyone know?
I have seen a clip of Mick O' Brian playing it but I don't think he is the owner of this beast.
Is it a flat or concert set?

You can see more pictures of this set (or its twin) on the Paris Na Piobari site (in the "galerie" section). If it's the same, it's a C flat set.

It looks like Marc Guilloux's set - Paris Pipers Club. Have seen this in action at the St Chartier Festival
Taylors often included a fourth (double bass) Regulator and on a few sets an extra regulator giving just the note E. The Beattie and Burke sets have ten regulators if you take the multiple bored Tenor and Baritone regs into account
Have heard of a set by Coyne with eight regulators (no drones) for use in a church - no details at present as to the layout.
Egan also built sets with four regulators

Marc likes things big. He also has a four reg Williams, with one extra, high, regulator attached in a trombone slide (we usually say paperclip) arrangement like the Moloney's Vandeleur set.Chris Bayley wrote:It looks like Marc Guilloux's set - Paris Pipers Club. Looks like Alain's own C# set. Why?...... why not? I suppose it's a form of showpiece/masterpiece? When I was talking recently with David Quinn I suggested he make a set incorporating all the styles he offers... a Taylorrowsomecoynekennaegan.... I think he's seriously considering it
Mark's new set is a four regulator set with a really nifty E key up on the bass regulator.... simple and clever... nice combo.
Patrick.
