Post by Phil Hardy »

Hi,just a quick note to say that there is a Sylvain Barou interview and gig video at www.kerrywhistles.com MOVIES-COMAS
His playing is astounding and Comas are set to be very big.
I was blown away at last nights gig in London.

(I am a woman and I think I am rather physically feminine...)

Merci pour corriger mon anglais :-)

Isn't the "physicality" of gender someting you feel rather than something you "think"? Hmmm?

Merci.

where to get Syvain Barou's CDs!

Post by Tchie »

Well, I do not have all CDs of him but I can tell you where to get:

-for Ceol et Djal (yes, he was very young, even now he is young) Jean can speak English so there is no prob.
http://banwarth.free.fr/

-Sualtam
http://www.sualtam.com/

but I suppose the simplest way to get the CDs is to ask Sylvain Barou.
He speak English, too.

I can give you his e mail address (I wish it is not too old, I can eventually ask my musicians frends, too) if you like.

Dear Tchie:

Thanks for your help. Why don't you just PM me with Sylvain's recent email, and I'll take it from there.
I did a search a while back of tower records, Barnes and Noble, and some
specialty shops here in the USA, and nobody has this guy's music.
I can't figure it out. Playin' is the hard part, distribution should be easy.
Thanks

If only it were so. I think any working, traditional musician will tell you that the opposite is more likely to be true.

Cheers,
Aaron
