Dale in the Salt River Review

Post by Dale »

My first published piece of short fiction. This piece existed as a narrative poem for awhile and it finally occurred to me it would be better in prose so I rewrote it. I'm gratified to see it accepted:

Congratulations!

I've been in the same position with the poetry I write but I don't want it to be a short story, thus I leave it as it is.

But you did a great job of fleshing it out.

Oh yes. (And thanks for taking note of that little detail).

Drinks of that size are in fact available in many American establisments.

Referring now to McDonalds:

A small regular soda 16oz ~ 150 calories)
medium 21oz ~ 210 calories)
Super Size 42oz (410 calories),

Or for the biggy, instead of a soda, you go with a 32oz Triple Thick Shake, that would add another 1140 calories!

It's Diabetes in a Cup (TM)

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Dale in the Salt River Review

Post by Will O'B »

When I read the topic of this thread I thought you fell into the river or something. Now I see that it's a literary rag that published your prose. Congratulations . . . it's probably more fun than falling into the river. :)
