THANK YOU ALL!
One of my workers has a friend named Mike Martin who I met about 2 years ago when he and his brother did some engineering work on our offices. Back in October he hit a possum while riding his motorcycle and was severely injured. He cracked his back, broke some ribsand then some. It was questionable whether or not he would survive. He did, though, and walked out of the hospital after about 3 weeks.
He was recovering at home in back and neck braces and a lot of pain. On Nov. 1, he decided to take a drive in his Wrangler and went into the path of an 18-wheeler. He is once again in the hospital but now he's really bad off. His injuries are extensive. He lost a kidney and part of his liver and he received over 900 stitches. he is currently in a coma.
Any kind thoughts and prayers y'all can send his way would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Paul

- Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free - Location: Loren has left the building.

Re: Some sad news
That's some serious stitches, Paul. I can share your heart-felt concern. A few years back, a friend of mine hit a possum while riding a bicycle...going too fast at dusk. Slid down the asphalt and hit a rock and split her jaw open at the chin. She's okay today, but what a difference the accident made in her life. Her memory isn't at 100% I don't think, due to head injuries, but she fakes it nicely with grace.Paul wrote:He lost a kidney and part of his liver and he received over 900 stitches. he is currently in a coma.

I hope he fares well... he's survived two really bad accidents - there must be some purpose for that... My thoughts and prayers are with him for blessings, strength and healing ... and I promise, it was not me or any other member of the band that ran out in front of him... as much as I love possums, they *can* cause trouble at time... dang!
