TRIVIA -- JINGLE ANSWERS ARE IN

Post by Will O'B »

See if any of these bring back old memories. How many can you identify? To make it more fun for yourself, please take the quiz before reading other's answers.

Note: As of 11:40 cst there have been no perfect scores (close only counts in horse shoes and hand grenades).

Wow . . . 25 hits and no responses. Nobody wants to play? Ok, let me give out a hint to the first one. It's not a beer commercial. :)

I think this one is Brillcream (sp?).
I KNOW this one, but I can't remember what it is. All I can think of is A1 sauce.
Irish Spring?
Maxwell House!!!
That's all I can figure out. I don't remember ANY cigarette commercials, so that last one was wasted on me!
Someday, everything is gonna be diff'rent

Most seem kind of familiar from my childhood, but any attempt to retrieve concrete info gets short circuited by the swirling, flashing colors and loud music of my later youth. :boggle:

I cannot win...but at least I'll play by the rules:
(my first run, unaldulterated, no-peaking responses...)

1. ?? (but the kid's gonna need psychological intervention.)
2. Dippedy-do? (but isn't that for girls? I remember "a little dab'll do ya'" as the mantra of my 1st grade art teacher speaking of Elmer's glue.)
3. Dr Pepper!!!
4. Marlboro Cigs. (Tune from Magnificent Seven, which was based on The Seven Samurai. My brother can do a good Eli Wallach impersonation.)
5. Old Spice or Irish Spring...I remember the cute guy in the fisherman's sweater though.
6. ??
7. Aqua-Velva? Boy, I remember the ad...but as usual, I remember ads better than whatever they were pushing.
8.??
9. Lipton Tea...but that perky sound is more coffee-esque...can't remember the brand.
10. Winston Cigs.

If only the hard drive in my computer can preform as well!
