Oh look! This one makes stixs! Finally a way to combat starvation in our dangerously underwiegh society! Now we can walk around eating them 24/7!!! I'm going to reserve one pocket just for syrup!!

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

Yes, oodles of them on ebay. Some people like the old cast irons ones better than modern plug ins, btw. I've used them, although I don't own one. (cast iron)
That is what I was going to suggest. You idea hijacker you!!!! :P

ebay, the mega mall of the universe! If you can't find it there it DOES NOT exist! Heck they even sell things there that don't exist! :o

Sounds like you should be studying in Belgium. You can't get away from waffles. Great beer, too.

Let me add my voice to those suggesting an old-fashioned cast-iron stove-top waffle iron. They call them irons for a reason -- they're not supposed to be made from aluminum and teflon, or worse yet, the chrome-plate things.

No waffles!!?? That would mean no Waffle House restaurants either!! As someone from Georgia, who lives within walking distance of, and frequently visits, the site of the first ever Waffle House restaurant, I find that intolerably uncivilized!
I LOVE the Awful Waffle. Don't have them up here so I go to them whenever I'm south.
Sounds like you should be studying in Belgium.
Brilliant idea.

I still use my grandmother's 60 year old plug in model that sits permanently installed on a little tray with handles. Works beautifully.

Well, the American people decided on Nov. 2nd not to use our waffle maker so you're welcome to him...

Waffles, eh? When I was in England the big complaint was that you can't get a cup of coffee, not that it mattered to tea drinkers like me.

When I lived in Mindanao, there were stands around town that
sold all sorts of waffles. There were waffle dogs (that's right, a
Frankfurter on a stick, with a waffle around it, like a corn dog...
my sister loved these). As I recall, they referred to the plain
round waffles as "Japanese cakes."

We used to make cornbread waffles sometimes. They were good smothered in chili and cheese.

That's an interesting idea. Might be worth draggin' out the ol' waffle iron for that one.
They were good smothered in chili and cheese.
In that case, maybe it should be jalapeño cornbread?
