Lost Book at The So Cal Tionól

Post by Patrick D'Arcy »

Posted on behalf of Kynch O'Kaine. Please contact him with any information at: kynch@aol.com

If you attended the Soutern California Tionól this year maybe you can help me out. A small black leather ring bound book/day planner containing the first two bars of tunes measuring approx. 8.5" x 4.5" has gone missing. If you saw it somewhere at Gabriel's please let me know so I can try to track it down.

Thanks,

Kynch O'Kaine.

Did Kynch's computer break? I was wondering why he wasn't around anymore.

What is going on out there in California? First, someone's entire $$$ Irish pipe collection, including a Rowsome chanter, was stolen and then surfaced and reunited with its owner. Now, this notebook. Patrick, please keep us updated; we are all hoping for a good outcome here. As always, I'll look out for it on eBAY.

Are you talking about M. Eskin's stuff? I never heard the story of him recovering his stuff. Did the chanter show up on ebay? Just curious, and glad to know he got his pipes back.

I think it was Gabriel's Rowsome that was stolen... but I didn't hear it was recovered, what's the story on that?

It is an interesting story with a very happy ending. (I'll let someone in the club tell it)

There are some aspects of the story that have yet to be resolved. A full account will appear in "The Pipers' Review" in the not-too-distant future. In the mean time, rejoice at the return of the prodigal chanter.
