Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

OT (not really but, you know): My dream

Post by FJohnSharp »

Last night I dreamed I was at someone's house, who is not a whistle player, and sitting in a corner was a Copeland low D. Very old. And engraved on it was '1967' and I don't even know of Copeland made them in 1967. I was negotiating a price when the alarm went off.

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

Maybe it was a serial number? I know they started serializing them about 6 -7 years ago.

And, I couldn't play a lick because the holes were huge and there was double hole, like a recorder, at the F# position (maybe for a Fnat?).

I've dreamed about whistles before.

Usually, I remember my dreams every night.

You just reminded me of a semi whistle related dream I had about a week ago.
My wife and I were riding our bicycles in some sort of small city location, pedaling along behind Jimmy Carter. As we rode on, the crowd was cheering the former president and someone in the crowd held up a sign something along the lines of "Chiff and Fipple salutes Jimmy Carter".
That's all I remember...
Got wood?

I love fipple flute dreams. I've had a few . . . I think the last one I had made me order a recorder. Subliminal advertising from this board . . . or a brainwashing from a member on this board.

There are a few cool dreams posted in a topic I started about whistle dreams . . . couple years back, or so.
I sing the birdie tune
It makes the birdies swoon
It sends them to the moon
Just like a big balloon
