How important is a toilet in your life?

Post by MarkB »

Germans say they've found Luther's toilet

WITTENBERG, Germany -- German archeologists say they have discovered the toilet on which Martin Luther wrote the 95 Theses that launched the Protestant Reformation.

Surprising what you can find when you go looking for it!

It's a Friday and I'm bored at work department.

When the septic tank is full, my toilet becomes extremely important.

At first glance, I thought this post read "How important is the toilet in your wife?"

I couldn't figure out what it was asking. :P

Good Lord! It was a typo after all! Martin Luther was writing about 95 feces!

Was all the Catholic guilt making him constipated? :boggle:

Rhein said the foundation would stop at letting the annual 80,000 visitors to Wittenberg sit on the toilet. "There's a point where you have to draw the line," he said.

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

Gee, I wonder if they will attempt to take samples for genetic matching.

Hmm... it sounds like they're really excited about it. I reminds me of that scene in Life of Brian where that girl holds up the gourd and screams "Follow the gourd". I don't get it.

seat with a hole

Post by I.D.10-t »

From the article
The 450-year-old toilet, which was very advanced for its time, is made out of stone blocks and, unusually, has a seat with a hole.
As opposed to a seat without one? :boggle:

Reminds me of the saran wrap joke people played in school

PS: I thought this was going to be a poll.

Sounds like a reference to the slavery-era spiritual that is said to be speaking of the dipper constellation that points to the North Star, and thus "Follow the Drinking Gourd" gets interpreted as go north to freedom.

Let's not be too hasty and dismiss the value of a good toilet. It's a great way to make things disappear when the cops are raiding your house, the reservoir in the back is a good hiding spot for beer, and I don't currently have a mirror. Please help me.
I changed my mind. Then I found out the new one was smaller and weaker.

Where I come from, going North is not the way to freedom....
