Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

what of the mysterious crop circle spelling bloomfield?

They don't exactly spell Bloomfield. It's one of those mysterious symbols, such as the one formerly used by the artist who was formerly known as the artist formerly known as Prince, but is now known as Prince.
Bloomfield himself would have to enlighten us as to the significance of his personal crop insignia, and explain exactly what he is doing associating with aliens.

Like his closely guarded web identity?
Like his frequent unexplained absences from the board?
Like the swirling psychedelic colors behind him in his avatar?
Like his extra set of arms? (ok, I'm just speculating now.)

Speculation or not, I've suspected it for quite some time. If you notice, he seems able to post quite a bit in a relatively short amount of time (even more than the average addicted C&Fer). It is my thought that he has 2 computers and is posting simultaneously with his extra set of arms. But then again, that's just MY speculation :D

Oh, good. It's better to keep the mystery alive... and damned if I could figure out how to Photoshop an extra pair of arms onto that wretched avatar, anyway.

Update: I'll admit it...I scoffed at some of the posts above. "Oh, those darn conspiracy theorists,"I chuckled. "Why, the only aliens Bloomfield associates with are simply persons who are not naturalized US citizens, though he's the sort who probably hangs around with furriners. But all that stuff about crop circles and multiple limbs is bushwah." So tonight I'm scanning the news online, pondering how awful it is that daily we're subjected to ever more ghastly stories of violence, mayhem and chaos--I refer, of course, to the savage struggle over flu vaccine--anyway, I'm casually reading today's squib from the AP, and down near the bottom of the story, what fearful word comes leaping, as it were, from the screen? "Seniors around the country have been standing in lines at shopping plazas to get flu shots since news of a shortage surfaced this month....blah blah blah... yada yada... the township of Bloomfield, N.J., created a lottery to distribute 300 remaining shots."

Synchronicity? Perhaps. Coincidence? I think not. The sort of sadistic amusement a secretive, sardonic, polydactylic being from otherwhere would indulge in? You be the judge.

I was able to draw one of Bloomie's other selves to Cleveland. He wanted to see the river that burned in 1968. In gratitude for seeing the river he revealed himself to me but he exacted my pledge that I never reveal his true (?) identity on pain of death by cheap beer.
