Sometimes I'll yell PIG! PIG!! In the middle of a session. Usually in the middle of a slow air, and usually towards one of the flute or guitar players. No reason really - I just feel all warm and happy inside when I do it. Doesn't it work that way for you too Dale?

I watched that on the news.

It reminded me of the incident involving Björk and the reporter she attacked, only Elton John didn't pull hair. Heh...

I recall a couple of years ago reading that Elton John showed up for a concert performance at a big, prestigious hall in London, saw it wan't a full house, and walked off without performing.

Takes one to know one.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Hmmm... could be the rude, vile obnoxious reporters... I imagine that it would get quite tiring now and again... I don't doubt that he was at least prtially correct in his description of them. He is a public figure, yes, but he is not public property.

Me, too! Have you ever heard his song called American Triangle? It makes me cry.

He actually has short stubby fingers to play piano so well.

Well, the article does say that he was "mobbed" and that they "swarmed" him:
British rock star Elton John, in Taipei for a concert, swore at reporters who swarmed around him at the airport on Thursday and called them "rude, vile pigs."

Wearing a bright blue tracksuit and dark sunglasses, the star shouted expletives as he was mobbed by photographers and TV crew....
I think that adoration and interference are two different things.

I know what it is to be swarmed by crowds, and it's no fun.
