I recall a couple of years ago reading that Elton John showed up for a concert performance at a big, prestigious hall in London, saw it wan't a full house, and walked off without performing.

Hmmm... could be the rude, vile obnoxious reporters... I imagine that it would get quite tiring now and again... I don't doubt that he was at least prtially correct in his description of them.
