Re: Okra?
I'd steam okra with onions and tomato. I might fry the onions with garlic and I might make a homemade tomato sauce for it. Never had it fried. Can't even imagine it fried.Random notes wrote:It must be my Yankee roots, but okra's gotta be fried.

Geez, I thought this was going to be a poll on Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Chris Squires et al.
As it is, it's a slam-dunk for Adri's sub-contrabass IMO.

- Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

I chose fried okra because of it's major importance in our political life. Surely you all remember that speech of old by Roosevelt? Speaking of a car in every garage and an okra in every gumbo? :roll:Walden wrote:Express your opinion on the important issues.

Ummmm.....ok. I don' think I'm going to want an okra in my gumbo now. Nothing like gumbo with large pieces of boogey type stuff in itamar wrote:okra is a common vegi in indian cuisine, but i never liked it too much, it's always so slimey, like snot...bleeech
