Plenty of us have extra whistles hanging around-- the hangup might be postage. From the US, the cheapest rate I could find was about $5 USD. If you can come up with that, I'm sure plenty of people would be willing to send a whistle.
Got wood?

I seem to remember two other threads along the same lines but from Cuba, but maybe I'm just a cynic.

I am afraid I won't be of much help right now since I cannot give you a whistle.
BUT........
Since you are a kid.....I DO take you seriously and I suppose you do get pocket money and you can save up for a whistle.
Then, the whistle will mean even more to you, since you did make efforts to make your own dream come true.
A starter whistle can be bought for only a few dollars, so it won't take too long a time to save up for it.
Wish you good luck on the way into music, it's worth the efforts!

I don't need a link to remember several previous posts that probably came from this. . . ah. . .individual.

I wish the kids I have experiance with could write this well, especially in everyday American english from an overseas location.

I'm just a 65 year old kid that likes free stuff too. How about a T-1 connection and some new hardware. My momma can't afford to give it to me.

Really? coz I sent a cd once to the Philippines and it cost me $18. I was so duped. It must be the 'gyp me' sign on my back.

Anyway, yhan, I might be able to send you an Oak whistle.
I remember how frustrating it was to get a tinwhistle back in the Philippines. Especially in my province, ugh! I asked my uncle to buy one for me and he returned from the city with two plastic recorders (was that an insult Uncle Ari?) I had to learn jigs on those things! Then my other uncle said he knows where to buy it, when we got there it was a freaking Kingflute store. But enough about me.

Let's exchange email. Masaya.

I am entering my second childhood and cannot afford the Porsche I've wanted all my life. Now, I know you good folks here probably can't afford to send me a Porsche. But, there are many of you and if each just put up only $10 I could achieve my lifelong dream of owning one of these fine cars...

Nah...some "kid" from the Philippines asked me for a whistle a couple years ago after visiting my web page, and i remember seeing this exact same plea used here more than once...

I wish I could find the thread where someone else smoked him out and he admitted that he did indeed have a whistle but it got broken or something..some folks said then they'd send him some too.

I imagine it's someone who's discovered that the C&Fers are a bit of a "soft touch" (which I find admirable actually..I sometimes regret my own cynicism) I dunno what this person is doing with all the free whistles we gets, but I sure wish he'd send some of them to me
