O'Riordan brass E, Eb, D
O'Riordan Blackwood D, C
O'Riordan Aluminum Low D
Generation Bb, C
Burke Brass D - don't remember what model.

My whistle acquisition days ended years ago. Most of the O'Riordan whistles are so old that the wait time to acquire one consisted of the length of time required to drive across town to pick one up.

Tell us something.: I love Irish music! I am mostly a whistle player but would like to learn more about flutes. I also have a couple older whistles I'd like to sell and maybe pick up a bamboo flute to practice with.

If I only would have played whistle when I lived in Muncie, IN back in the 80's!!! I would have been on Pat's doorstep many times!

I just have cheapies, except for my howard.

1 set of untweaked nickel Gens
1 Acorn
1 clare 2-piece
1 howard low d
1 bamboo whistle, key of Bb, that I found at a garage sale.
1 clarke meg

Basically, the only ones I play are the clare and the howard. The acorn is flat, the gens I use only if I'm trying to learn a song that's not in d, and the bamboo whistle is so breathy yer lungs collapse after 1 note. :boggle: The meg is unplayable because I sanded down the blade too much when trying to get rid of this weird buzzing sound.

I have one (1) Whistle. It is a cheapWhistle in D - (more I do not know about it)

I love this instrument!

But I am also looking for a low D - maybe someone will sell me one?

I can not imagine how you can remember all of your "tons of whistles".

 The wacky one on the left is some funny thing that my neighbor bought for me at a craft festival. I can't get a decent sound out of it but because it was a gift, I can't part with it. It has a solid bottom with a tiny hole drilled in it. It also has a hole on the back of the whistle also. It is made of some light wood, maybe bamboo. The man that was selling them was also selling his CD which sounded like native american flute new age stuff. Oh, sometimes, when the humidity changes, it can get a tune out of it.

The 3 golden ones at the other end are the Brass Trio that I won from Serpent Whistles Christmas Contest. They are a D, C, and Eb. Great little whistles.

I should also add that maybe I only really have 19 whistles because the one "Gen" is the tabor pipe I won from Beths contest that her cats picked the winner on. :D

Cheers,
Kathy :)

I believe the Humphrey replacement fipples are no longer available to purchase sans tube since he has begun marketing his new whistles. Is this correct?
