I don't quite know how to take this? If Zeus was poisoned, he's shown no effects of it.

On one hand, I have to think that seeing a reptile eat ice cream without ill effect would make one question the validity of the premise, 'reptiles are lactose intolerant'.
On the other hand, I have to admit A) his method of attacking the substance in question probably didn't allow him to actually consume much (he's a licker, not a biter), and B) who knows how much actual milk or dairy product was in that manufactuer's verson of rocky road.

But to put at ease any reptiles reading this, it is not my intention now or ever to poison any animal in my care. I believe we make every effort to take the comfort and well-being of our animals into consideration.

IF I had caused injury to my pet, I can't imagine I'd post a picture of it. I guess that's the bit of this that most stumps me.

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

Some one said I should have made this post here instead of as a separate thread. And as a proud grand-dad, I'd never pass up a suggestion to brag about my grandson.

The following is a fictional illustrated story which is an excuse to post pictures of my grandson.

Image

"Hi, Grand-Dad! Did you bring some whistles?"

Image
"Could I, ah, could I please see that Overton?"

Image

"What Overton?"

Image

"You want me to give back the Overton? Phewy!"

My inbox seems to attract these:

"A lady found the fawn under her step (they think the doe might have been hit by a car). Her Ridge Back dog is helping look after it. The family named the fawn Bella. Once she has regained her strength (she was not in good shape when the family found her) they are going to send her to some friends who (in the past) raised two orphan deer and released them to the wild. Right now she is being bottle fed. Their dog (Hogan) has basically taken over. The fawn even shares his bed."

Here's the one I couldn't get to show up a few posts back:

Snapfish.com seems to be blocking links, so I've moved to Photobucket.com. Easy to use, works great.

Best wishes,

I think, by the poisoning comment, she was referring to my assertion that it was actually potted meat byproduct, rather than rocky road ice cream. :)

Lee, enjoy him!

Jerry, those pictures of the baby deer with the dog are heartbreakingly beautiful.
