The problem is not one plug, but rather one that I can reproduce (unless, of course, you'd like to make all of them for me).brewerpaul wrote:Beautiful work, Jessie-- what we can see anyway
If the bore of the head is perfectly round, I'd be happy to fit a Delrin fipple for you, maybe an exotic wood.

I'm curious now: How did you do the voicing without being able to hear it? Did you make a prototype in a cheaper material first, or go straight to silver?

Very nice Jessie. Its beautiful. I personally think Amber would be nice but my number one choice would be black Jade. I don't know if you have the equipment to do lapidary work. In another life I made a number of jewelry pieces with black jade and sterling silver. They go very well together. I don't even know if the material is available anymore. It is a beautiful whistle whatever you plug it with.
Lots of applause

No, I do not have the equipment or expertise to do lapidary work.
Glauber, I know how it will sound because I did try a previous (unfinished) one, not in silver, with the same sounding dimensions. The plug will have to be .010" smaller in diameter than the previous one, because the old plug doesn't quite fit. But that small difference in diameter can be compensated for in the voicing, so it will sound the same.
