OK people while reading all these keep in mind I am 15 and play 12 instruments

1. Whistle
2. Mandolin
3. Flute
4. Great Highland Bagpipes
5. Bass
6. Guitar
7. Fiddle
8. Bodhran
9. Drum Set
10. Trumpet
11. Baritone (Marching)

These are in no particular order but out of all I am best a Bassoon since I have been playing the longest. :D

(Counting only the main instrument-type, not everything tuned like it--for example, all those 4-stringed critters tuned like mandolin or mandola, or the 6-string banjo.)

From halfway decent to terrifying...

guitar
mandolin
------The Great Divide------
whistle
fiddle
5-string banjo
bass
harmonica
slide guitar (a whole 'nother thing)
flute (simple system)
Appalachian dulcimer
erhu

In order of frequency- all of which are some level of irritant to those around me :D

piano-daily
pipe organ-weekly
whistle-3-4 times a week
scottish tenor drum-weekly

these three when the mood hits-

shuttlepipes
highland pipes
bodhran

once in a blue moon-

mandolin-(old time)
guitar(chords only)

instruments of my very distant youth-
clarinet
oboe
trombone

(I posted this on a similar thread last year)

From age of 5 until I took up the uilleann pipes:
Ukulele (Martin)
Guitar (1938 Gibson AJ)
Piano - Baldwin baby grand
Mandolin (1922 Gibson A2)
Mandola (1922 Gibson H1)
Cello
Bass Fiddle
Tenor Banjo-clawhammer 4 string (Lyon & Healy)
Fiddle (Irish) 1930's Jackson-Guldan
Bass Harmonica (Honer)
Tin Whistle
Irish Flute (1840's R&R)
Bouzouki (homemade)
bodhran
Mandocello (1916 Gibson K1)
Accordian
Anglo Concertina - G/D G/C (Jones)
Uilleann Pipes D/B (McFadden's/Quinn's)

I know it sounds like an obsession, but my dad was worse than me, and his dad worse than him! Nowadays, I really only play the uilleann pipes, but occasionally still play fiddle, anglo concertina, and bouzouki/mandolin.

For reasons we needn't go into this reminds me of an old joke.

A man walks into a cocktail lounge and notices immediately that the house pianist has a huge tear in his trousers. Also having no underwear, his family jewels are bouncing along merrily on the stool as he plays. So the man approaches the pianist and says, 'I hope you don't think it impertinant to ask, but do you know your balls are clearly visible from the other side of the room?' 'Can't say that I do' replied the pianist, 'but if you hum a few bars, I'll try to accompany you.'

I'm surprised no one mentioned air guitar. With its low cost and easy learning curve, this is an ideal instrument.

I like tuning mine in DADGAD.
I sing the birdie tune
It makes the birdies swoon
It sends them to the moon
Just like a big balloon

Air guitar is not a bad instrument, But I like my Kazoo, you know they have electric and acoustic style kazoos now.
