What's really sickening (OT)(TROLL)(RANT)
... Is people making multiple posts, or long post, to a thread just to get it to go to the next page.
Listen up, it's 15 posts to a page, long, short, 15. not 14 or 16, 15, got it, good.
Now here's a bonus clue for those of you who slept through rocket science 101. The number of posts is the number of replies + 1.
Off topic posts are fine in moderation, but the signal to noise ratio is getting very high.
There's good stuff in that thread, but it's buried in a bunch of nonsense.

Why on earth should this bother you? All the silliness is confined to one spot annnnnd you don't have to read it if you don't want to.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a
listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of
which have the potential to turn a life around. -Leo Buscaglia, author

NotMe?
Are you the "NotMe" that was one of the reasons we had to leave the message board that we used before coolboard (along with "me" "person" and "anonymous" and a few others)?
Welcome back.
Everybody here is welcome to disreguard posts that make them pout. If you enjoy sickening yourself, by all means, exercise your freedom to read those posts. Have a nice day.

Hey maybe NotMe is actually Porridge under yet another assumed name?
Perhaps if you think "Off topic posts are fine in moderation, but the signal to noise ratio is getting very high" then you should create a useful new thread rather than one which is, by your own admission, another OT thread? Seems to me like this posting is just more "noise" and less "signal" ...

wussy, absolutely! But, speaking your mind can be perilous sometimes, even here.
Something like an anonymous note to a coworker that she has wicked B.O.
there's on topic, off topic, and completly inane.
There's some good information in "It's Sickening" so saying "just don't look at the silly stuff" misses the point. You have to look through it to get to the good stuff.

Ron, I don't think so, there is a couple of new photos of her in the Breaking News thread. Then again, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I'm still waiting for some decent pictures of Kathleen Keane.
Will this post take us to page two?

Actually,
NotMe sounded like a character from an Abbot and Costello sketch:
A: "Who's on first?"
C: "I donna know, not me!"
A: "Well that's right!"
C; "What's right?"
A: "NotMe."
and off they go . . .
Or we could do our own C&F version:
C: "Who do you think Porridge is?"
A: "NotMe!"
C: "Well, it's not me either but who do you think it is?" . . .

What's that Ron? Did you say "Go, his flat sore grew through honey for luck?" I'm sorry, there is too much noise to hear, could you repeat yourself? Louder would help?On 2002-02-28 12:50, Ron Rowe wrote:
So, is that Corr girl way to skinny or what?
Anyways, I think this is funny, others might find it "Really Sickening."

- Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Hi.
I've noticed that the board seems to go through cycles--times when things are relatively serious with lots of useful information and serious exchange of ideas, followed by times when the majority of threads/posts seem to be inane (but extremely amusing) non-sense that is at best only semi-whistle related.
I suspect it's related to moon-phases, but I'll leave that for all you whistling astronomers to figure out.
