Here in the UK it will be visible until midday in the bottom half of the Sun, obviously all of this week I've been dressing as a nun, wearing dark sunglasses, and predicting the end of the world.
Looks like I might be right too, but it's got bugger-all to do with the stars, just our own stupidity.
Still it's nice weather we're having.

To understand the true meaning of this event, you only have to spell Venus backwards: Sun E V, which stands for Sun Eclipsed by Venus

Thank you for your very kind words, Paul... it was very sweet of you to offer them. I don't know what John's intent was, but I was not terribly offended. With alternative beliefs one has to become somewhat immune to that sort of thing.

I should clarify--as I didn't realize how it might appear until after the fact-- that piece was not written by me. It was passed on to me through friends, and I am not sure who the originating author is. My apologies if it appeared to be my own work-- I just happen to agree with it, and felt like sharing for those who might also be of a like-mind.
