2nd West Coast Chiff Gathering: JUNE 5
Time to start discussing dates for the barbeque/whistle gathering we talked about last Nov. Ideally a day when the most people can show up. I was thinking in the June-July time frame. My mom is all for supplying the house again. I'm hoping for a nice weather period so we can hang out on the back patio. (It's a lot different when it's not pouring rain.) Otherwise, it's back into the kitchen.

Well, I wasn't here last November--and didn't quite make it to the Low Whistle Fest, either--but can I come?
I think July would be good for me. (I don't know that I'd want to play in front of anyone else, but I gotten far enough along that I'm anxious to see some other folks play in real life.)

- Tell us something.: You just slip out the back, Jack
Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
Just get yourself free
Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
And get yourself free - Location: Loren has left the building.

- Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.
Well, I see three volunteers to organize a Right coast event!!!
Anytime is fine with me. Late June or early July. Like BH, the earlier the date is set the better for vacation planning.
July 4 is a Sunday. How about the Saturday following that, July 10? Or the weekend prior, June 26.

That's good to know. I really should get out and meet more of you local South Bay musicians, anyway. Practically the only musicians I know down here on the peninsula are my fellow uilleann pipers.blackhawk wrote:We're not a scary bunch, Justine. Everybody's really nice.
I'm going to Ireland for most of the summer, though, so if I don't make it, have fun without me and I'll catch you at the next one.

Yeah, I'd have that smirky grin if I were spending the summer in Ireland, as well! Luck to ye, and we'll see you at the next one, then!feadogin wrote:
