A couple of baby pictures (more at the end of first post)

Post by JessieK »

So she chose to come three weeks and three days early. We are so happy with her. She's a little angel, very serene. She loves the sound of the whistle. She coos instead of crying except when we change her diaper (she doesn't like to be naked, which Dan is very happy about). She looks at us and smiles a little. It's a beautiful time.

Please everyone, give me a day or two to respond to e-mails. As I mentioned in the raffle thread, I would like to postpone the drawing until May 1st. I hope that's ok.

Here are two pictures. The first is also posted in the Sticky baby thread (thanks for that, Dale). I took it today when we got home. She's under a Jerry tweaked Shaw d. The second is one I took in the hospital last night. She was one day old, smiling for her daddy (but not looking at him in this particular picture).

Her name is Joey Rose Driscoll.

:)

New ones:

They say new babies don't make eye contact or focus their vision. That's hogwash.

Naptime...mommy is getting gradually less puffy.

Wearing mommy's old outfit (my goodness, it makes life seem short), Joey is enjoying her Pooh mobile.

Absolutely adorable! My Perri weighed in at 5lbs 5 oz also 3 weeks early 15 years ago. Feisty and alert...and Dad looks happy... :)

Best,

Very cute. Now, the important stuff. What tune is she working on and what whistle does she have on order?

Awwwwwwwwww! She's so perfectly beautiful! Thanks for taking the time to share some pictures. Now go get some rest... (having a baby is hard work after all, yes? But oh so worth it....) :)

Tell us something.: Long ago, I was told that I faked iTrad whistle work very well. I took that comment to heart. 20 years of private lessons - and many, many hours of rehearsal later - I certainly hope I have improved...

Dang but that's a cute baby, Jessie! Even cuter than in your avatar! And baby's first whistle is just adorable....

I loved your comment about diaper changing being a beautiful time. Just wait a few weeks and see if you say the same thing. :boggle:

Sweet baby, Jessie. Congratulations, and enjoy her and your new life. (Also, try to sleep sometime!)
