:-? What the "hail"? Perhaps another prop to hold open the oven door while your cake is cooling. Although the bong idea has merit, as well.

"IT'S VERY DIFFICULT TO SEE FROM THE PICTURE HOW GOOD IT IS. IT LOOKS AFRICAN."

Only 14 hours to go and it's only a fiver so far!! :o
As Mr. PT Barnum said over a century ago - "There's a sucker born every minute."

Notice how the seller doesn't show the whole whistle except waaaayyy down at the bottom of the page? Its because if anyone saw the whole thing even a sucker would flee in terror. Its nothing more than a one buck bamboo whistle spray painted black and wrapped with wire. These 'pagan/wiccan' ripoffs are always on eBay. If it is in tune, or even in a recognizable key, I would be flat out amazed.

I don't know what the conversion rate is, but I need to make sure these folks see the next whistle I decide to sell.

Chuck, you sure it isn't a garden hose?

Hmm... this gives me an idea, with April approaching.

It looks like it was made for six fingers on the same hand.....
My opinion is stupid and wrong.

I'm trying to decide whether that description was:

1: Written in a foreign language and translated to English by a bad computer program;
2: A damning indictment of the Albany, NY school system, or
3: Written during a drunken stupor.

Strange. Very strange.

Voice recognition (or not) software.

The seller had a bazillion listings.

The title of the listing was originally "was sole and temporary music," or something similar, but the seller edited it.

Best wishes,
Jerry

What about this unique mp3 whistle? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi ... gory=10183

The top photo clearly shows it's meant to recorder compressed sound.

The story's well worth a pow-wow, too: Guaranteed to be a conversaton peice! I jamm in jazz settings with it (...)

PS: Razz aside, I've heard "traditional" NA flutes, "blessed vith sacred sage", etc. (et tutti crappi) sound much worse.
Now I'd challenge anyone to take this to an NA music gathering.
I'd rather face a session crowd with a "bright-colored garklein recorder with sickly tinny keys". 8)
Or an electric balalaika.

And the seller says he thinks the whistle blows. Hardly a ringing endorsement!

The position of the mouthpiece with respect to the keys doesn't make any sense.

I would suspect that this is liken unto one of those wierd toys that has a little reeds instead of each tonehole that play when uncovered. That would explain a normally closed action on the all the keys.

I think the upper part of the instrument is missing and the “mouthpiece” is simply a joint where the missing part is supposed to be slipped on to make a complete instrument.
