I don't believe my statement or smiley implied that the subject matter was funny in and of itself, rather the time it took for someone to point it out. Apparently the way I stated it seemed differently, and your opinion is not for anyone else to take so no need to put "Forgive me" at the end of your statement for certain!!! I happened to agree with it by the way or I wouldn't have posted in the first place.Cranberry wrote:I can't really find leaving out the majority of the world's population funny, whether intentional or not. I was waiting to see how long it would take for anyone to get around to that!

Take care,

And how about dogs? Nobody remembers dogs.
I resent this rampant anti-doggite attitude.

On the Internet, nobody knows you're a dog!

Message Text: hi stacey,
i've read that your whistles have closer hole spacing than others.
i'm looking for the same hole-spacing as a on generation high D, and boresize of a generation high C.
i'm not sure wich of your soprano whistles will match (D or C)
all the best...........

I quoted the saying verbatim...the saying itself uses man. On a further note it is proper english to use man as a catch all for someone of either sex when talking about a member of the human race. I won't allow the poilitical correctness police to corrupt my grammar. So if you must take offense blame it on my english teacher .Cranberry wrote:Why does it have to be a man?

It can easily be changed to person or wo/man.
"Man" is a dirty word, especially when accompanied with "gun".

Its not what you have its what you do with it.
I love these kind of forum questions. They generate thought which cant be a bad thing.
I found myself walking into a music shop about a year ago and buying an Oak D. I pledged to learn how to play first before buying any other whistles. I felt it was important to learn and appreciate before focusing on the 'stuff' of whistles. As the saying goes, "Its not what you have got its what you do with it".
In part this is true for but I did find the Oak a bit too sqeeky so I tried out an Walton's Brass and loved the tone so I gave my Oak away. How could he, I hear them say. Well like I said Im a one whistle man for now.
Once I have worked my way thorough the Clarkes book I will treat myself with a Bussman or Burke. I have a plan to go up to motor up to a local wood glade on my bike with a decent cup of Javva and play during this summer. I plan to take a new whistle.
Time will tell.
