Hi Jerry, I always thought your avatar was a sunset picture of a sperm whale rising beside a boat.... but its not, is it!

Tell us something.: I play whistles. I sell whistles. This seems just a BIT excessive to the cause. A sentence or two is WAY less than 100 characters.

There was a big ol' discussion on his avatar recently. Try searching for Ralph or mouse.

In fact, it's known as the Rohrschach avatar.

Jerry posts it, so it seems inocuous, and we respond to the drawing.

Like, you saw a sperm whale and it's your right not to call it a Freudian vision; some see some butter fly (then crash on a Miró painting) while others see a mouse on parmiggiano.

So Dale analyzes the feedback, then reports it to the Cryst $á@*#%£€§èçà°****

Hi, Erle!

That's Ralph (a silk painting done to commemorate him, actually). If you want the whole story of Ralph the mouse, my former chief assistant here at the Global Pennywhistle Tweaking Research and Production Consortium headquarters, you'll have to do a search. It's a long story that brings up a lot of emotional memories for me.

Best wishes,
Jerry

I also saw Jerry's avatar as a breaching whale. I am shocked and confuzeled to be told that it is actually a mouse. What a mind-blowing revelation! The biggest animal in nature and one of the smallest are one and the same. It's cosmic, man. Do you have a black light version?

I always thought it looked like a screaming face emerging from the sea. A Rohrschach picture indeed! ;)
