Blank Sheet Music?

Post by FireFighterLT »

I am lazy, lazy enough to not want to go out in the cold and buy blank sheet music. I figured I could find some on the net.

However, can u believe it's easier to find sheet music with notes than just blank? Anybody know of some blank .gif's or something I can download?

This is probably too late, as Bloomie already replied, but I have a file for it. PM me if you need it. :)

I like the free staff paper site that Bloomfield linked to. You can get simple staves, grand staves, staves with bar lines, staves with clefs, even blank whistle tab!

There was a time in my life that I couldn't read music, staring at the sheet I always drew a blank :D

Thanks Bloom. I was searching under sheet music (newbie). Now I get to practice the old of writing instead of just typing and printing...lol

Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.

Oh, yeah: also a mod here, not a spammer. A matter of opinion, perhaps.

The only good sheet music is blank sheet music. :D

My approach has been fairly Gutenbergian: I photocopied some staff paper that I bought (gasp!), and did it on both sides of the sheet for some reason. If I need more (which is pretty seldom, now), I just use one of the existing copies and have the cashiers run me up a dozen sheets or so when they have a spare moment.

Ah, white collar crime for the sake of art! Gotta love it.

I got a couple of blank music pads from the Whistle Shop (2-sided, 12 staves/side). They apparently still have some on sale. http://www.thewhistleshop.com/misc/garage/sale.htm

You think that's bad, just try to buy an empty spice rack.

Depending on what word processing program you have installed on your computer, that software may contain blank forms, etc. - including music sheets. Mine does (Corel WordPerfect 8 ).

Staff paper on nice stock, easily eraseable and well-spaced seems better than using up expensive printer cartridges. I would vote to reconsider and buy the stuff. It lasts forever unless you're a genius and use it all up fast.

Of course, we don't use sheet music here...it's flammable. :P

Just print off one and xerox it. Costs next to nothing.

Ahem...I believe there is unretouched digital evidence on the web (that makes it incontrovertible) of certain Weekenders not averting their gaze from sheet music.

Is there a way to right an abc text with no notes in it? That would do the trick and you would have the key signature too.
Just a thought
