C&F Webpages not loading properly?
Is it only me, or have other folks had problems with the C&F message board pages not loading properly over the last few days? I get no pictures, buttons, emoticons etc....... I just get the IE message at the bottom of the page x "number of items remaining", but the items never load. I've had this problem on 3 different PC's in two distinctly different locations on three different machines.
Perhaps it's an Internet Explorer thing?
I'm confused......

Okay, this is really weirding me out now: The computer I typed the last message on was also having problems loading pages on other websites, and got to the point where I couldn't even post a reply to messages on C&F because the reply page wouldn't load.
So I move to the library computer one station over and no problems...yet. I'm stumped - 3 out of 4 machines in two different locations (one location a library, the other not), all running IE, are having the same problems. Problems that didn't exist a week ago on the same machines. Yet other machines, with the same software, in the same location have no problem.....

Every once and a while someone in the family sets internet explorer so it wont load pics and such. Heres a quick fix: (and pardon my lack of correct computer grammar)
Ok, there should be a menu labeled Tools on the top of IE, open it and find "internet options",
clicking on that should open a control panel type dealie with several tabs across the top. Locate the tab labeled Advanced. Open it.
find a button labeled "Restore Defaults", click it, exit the control panel.
hopefully that might do the trick...

Hi,
happened again today with me, this time I only cleared Temp Int and Cookies. When I reconnected it was fine. I wonder if it has anything to do with the server your ISP connects you to, assuming they have more than one?
Cheers, Mac
p.s. I'd like to wish everyone here a Merry Christmas/Holiday

In theory there's no difference between theory and practice but in practice there is.

Well, I guess I'm "glad" that others are having a similar problem, I was starting to believe someone had thrown some serious PC Voodoo on me or something!
I've still been having problems which I have only been able to solve by clearing cookies and history, then rebooting the PC - serious PITA. This get's even stranger though: I try going straight to C&F, but get the usual problems, so I try going to email and accessing C&F through a PM notification email and Voila! No problem! Does this make sense to anyone?

No it doesn't, which makes sense if you know what I mean. You've probably seen this before, have a reminder and a laugh,Loren wrote:Does this make sense to anyone?Loren
