For Sale: Sindt Whistle Set

Post by jonharl »

I'm selling a set of 5 Sindt Whistles-Eb, D, C, Bb, A along with a 5 slot Tuffbag case. I'm selling the whole group together versus each indivdual whistle. You can view the auction on Ebay item number: 2366070948.
Thanks for your interest.
Jon

I forgot to mention that the whistles cost me $450.00 plus shipping and the bag was somewhere around $35.00. Thanks.

Jon, that's a well collected set of whistles. Good luck with the auction. Here's a direct link in case someone wants to torture themselves with the photos:

Doc I'm selling the whistles because I need the money. There should be a little bit for me to get a Jerry Tweeked Gen or a Gary Humphries Mouthpiece to put on a Gen tube. Maybe I'll still be playing the Sindt's if they don't sell, we'll just have to see.

I'm sure they'll sell. If I weren't busting the piggy bank for a button box I'd buy them myself.

If they don't sell as a set I'd sure be interested in some of the individuals. Drop me a PM if you go that route.

Tell us something.: I've been playing whistle for a very long time, but never seem to get any better than I was about 10 years ago. I'm okay with that. :)

Gary Humphries Mouthpiece to put on a Gen tube
I think you'll find that Gary's mouthpiece on a Gen or Oak body compares very favorably to your Sindts.

Jon, If I may make a suggestion ...

I've sold several hundred whistles on eBay, and here's something that can make a big difference.

I would recommend that you change your listing title to:

John Sindt Whistle Set w/ Tuffbag Tin Penny

Adding the words "tin" and "penny" will make your listing come up whenever someone searches for "tin whistle" or "penny whistle." This can make a big difference in how many people see your auction, and ultimately in your selling price, since the more people who see it, the more are likely to bid, and the more who bid, the higher the price will go.

Best wishes,
Jerry

His online name is Raindog1970. If you do a search you can get an e-mail address from his profile page. He'll e-mail you right back with all the info you need. I think his mouthpieces are great looking and from what I've heard sound good too.
Good Luck,
Jon

No bids yet. I thought these would go real fast. If they don't sell this go around I'll break up the family and sell them off indivdually. OR... maybe I'm just being impatient.
