Opening bid was $1. With 6 days left, 14 bids have brought the bid up to $610 for German lady.

I wonder if this is the beginning of Date-Craze on eBay.

She might be talked into playing whistle, who knows. I figured her being a newbie with no feedback and no bids, C&F would be the most likely spot for her to find a truely sophisticated bidder. For $5 Nano, you couldn't go wrong.

But thanks for the tip. The idea of it! My dweeb status would be enhanced beyond belief with my friends finding out that I was having a doomed "relationship" with a fake girlfriend that I paid good money for. And all by correspondence! No STDs, anyway.........

If 'date' has the same slang connotations elsewhere as it has in Australia, I can assure you there's nothing Platonic about it at all.
