I know that you were talking about incandescent vs. fluorescent (which you spelled incorrectly, by the way) lightbulbs, but have you considered halogen? I've had a lot of good luck with my halogen bulbs and the supplier that I use is the best. It might be more than you want to spend, but in the end I think that you'll find both the output and effeciency well worth the cost. IMHO you might as well start with the best.
I hope that this shed a little light on your queery.
Erik

Does anyone know GE's number? I ordered a 25w light bulb from them over a year ago, and they still haven't sent it. I tried emailing them, but they don't reply.
I was going through my parents' attic, when I found an old, pre-war, 100 watt Sylvania. I tried it out, but the tone was too bright. And guess why it wasn't very heavy, because it was light!
I know that many of you don't like my puns. But that's OK. You should hear my poetry; it's verse! JP

- Tell us something.: I play the whistle, I used to play flute but have Dupuytren's contracture so can only play whistle now which is fine. Mostly play sessions around Canterbury Kent area.

I don’t understand people who suffer from BAD! I had a trusty “Woolworth’s” 60 watt which did me fine for ages. (Well I did until someone sat on it) Anyway I went to “The lighting shop” where Alf the proprietor was very helpful and now have a “Seaboard Long Life” with a tapering bayonet! It’s brilliant at lighting sessions…It’s so easy to plug in and won’t be faded out by the fluorescents and halogens.
Just my 2 ohms worth,
Dave.
