I agree, it was not Joanie. I met her at the DC Irish festival where the vendor's had run out of her CD, so she sold me her own copy out of her backpack, but would only accept $5 for it and then she and Mary both autographed it. I wasn't that impressed with their recordings; but, I love CTL in concert, and have been consistently impressed by how delightfull Joanie is in person. I enjoy their live performance much more than their recorded music and most of that is the glow of warmth that Joanie, seems to carry and share through the music.

So my vote, it was an imposter on the chat.
Enjoy Your Music,

From what i've heard, this was $5 more than what she would have got if you bought the CD from a store! :boggle:

Tell us something.: I moved, so I'm in a different city. Not in Texas anymore!!! Although if someone sees that I'm in NYC, maybe they'll know of local places that I can look for whistles.

Tex, you should fit in around here just fine. Thanks for the hello in another thread, and welcome aboard!

Bloom, by the way, is not only certifiable, but certified. Or so I hear.

My point exactly.

Nice, but certifiable. That's what it takes around here.

Be calm, Cran.

Usually, yeah.

But as your teeny-tiny print indicates, maybe that's an internet thing.

Most of my best friends come across as not calm. Many of them are of, well, artisitic temperament. May be a connection. We who are drawn to the arts are a strange and varied lot. Thank goodness.

No harm meant.

That's an understatement. We're just plain weird.

I'm going to feel stupid if Joannie actually gets the email I sent apologizing for mispelling her name in chat. She'll be like "what the...?"

lol.

If you're looking for the fake Joanie, you probably need to go no farther than Danbury, CT!

I do not feel obliged to believe that that same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.

Here's what happened. We were in chat, and Serpent told me to post to the board that Joanie Madden was in chat, and misspell the name. So I posted a thread, "John Madden is in Chat." Did I learn nothing from Genesis chapter 3??? Cranberry came in chat, and someone (I honestly do not know who it was) under the moniker jmadden came in. Cranberry was asking who John Madden was, and the jmadden person said, it's not John, it's Joan. The rest pretty much has played out in this thread.

Has your family tried 'em: Powdermilk?
Has you family tried 'em: Powdermilk?
Well, if your family's tried 'em,
You know you've satisfied 'em,
They're the real hot item: Powdermilk!

Powdermilk biscuits, in the big blue box, or ready-made, in the brown paper sack with the grease stains that indicate freshness, give shy people the strength to get up and do what needs to be done. Made of whole wheat grown by Norwegian bachelor farmers in the lake Wobegon River Valley, so you know they're 100% pure, mostly.
