Naw...
Shoot. I was hopin' nobody would post to this one and I could just sit here and chuckle. Worst of it is, I went down and made a new batch of Polly heads with internal slides, then I come back and discovered I missed the damn deletion! Oh, well... TelegramSam sez it was kind of a non-event anyhow... here one minute, gone the next.
Oh, well...
Hey, Jerry, I just realized that avatar of yours is a rodent. If you look at it just right, it resembles a whale!
Cheers,
serp

Re: Naw...
Ralph comes from a particularly gifted bloodline of Celtic deermice that have a facility for impersonating animals too big for serpents to eat.serpent wrote:Hey, Jerry, I just realized that avatar of yours is a rodent. If you look at it just right, it resembles a whale!

Holy smokes Jerry it is a mouse. I thought it was a duck. Very gifted indeed. Reminds me of a horse trader a week or so ago. He was selling a realy big mule and a guy walked up and started talking to him. So he starts selling but the guy said he only had about 4 square feet of space in his yard and my friend says thats ok he can turn himself into a cherry tree. Very gifted mule...........................
Tom
I love horse traders. I could listen to them all day.

What in the world!!! You guys actually thought that was a whale?!?
That's just plain funny!
By the way, Jerry, I think it is (and always was) a beautifully rendered rodent. Is that the full piece or is there more to the painting? Who painted it? Did you? If'in' you did, you'd better step away from the whistle-tweakin' devices and start painting!

The mouse is an interpretation of Ralph that's the central image of a larger silk painting, done by a friend in Santa Barbara. The rest of the painting is a brightly colored sort of dream landscape.
FFC, et al. do a search on "Ralph" for more background if you've come on board since the conclusion of the Ralph saga. Among other things, you'll find a clip of a lovely, haunting lament written and recorded by Carol Skinner called, "Fairwell to Ralph." (Carol, I just looked up your link to the clip, and it doesn't seem to be working any more. Should we forward it to Tony Higgins for SnipsNClips?)
Best wishes,
Jerry
