I really want an avatar, but I'm not interested in a found object and I can't quite figure out what it should be. I have a picture like Marko's that I considered using, but, well... Marko has a picture like Marko's.

On top of that, the avatar that would really speak of me as a person would offend half the board :)

I too remain avatar-less for now. I hope to get a halfway-decent digital photo of myself, a tall order since I'm not very photogenic. I should probably post one of my son and SO, since they're way cuter than I am!

My avatar is a real pic. Just not a pic of me. I did use a pic of me once, but people thought it was a potato with eyes stuck on it.

I use this picture because it seems to express my understanding of, reaction to, and emotions towards pretty much everything.

This is Bush holding an Overton, i think. Not sure why I did this, but I was messing around with a cheap imitation of photoshop, and this was my first serious attempt at a false picture. I might make something else, though, because I don't want to stir any controversy.

I don't have an avatar yet because, well, I'm lazy. Plus I just haven't come up with the right idea yet. Of course, there have been lots of times I've seen someone else's and thought "that would have been a cool one! Too bad that person already used it...."

I would love it if Bush started playing the whistle!

Maybe he'd start playing it constantly, so he'd always have something in his mouth which would prevent him from continuing his rambles regarding the "War on Terror"

Mine (and my previous) kinda look like me, in that I am about an inch tall and have green hair. I have digital pics of me elsewhere, and funky LiveJournal icons ... but I like to keep my iconicness vaguely separate.

Tell us something.: Just updating my profile after 16+ years of C&F membership. Sold most of my flutes, play the ones I still own and occasionally still enjoy coming here and read about flute related subjects.

After the whole Lycra-controversy I posted this avatar, but kept a low profile since...

This is me in the Moat theatre in Naas (Ireland) playing the flute in a charity concert.

If anyone is looking for an avatar and would like to be a sheep, let me know. I've got the perfect pic from this summer, and it's already at the right size and so forth.
