Dreaming of Dale

Post by Martin Milner »

I hope he doesn’t make a habit of this, but Dale entered my dreams last night.

I woke about 3am with a very vivid picture of him sitting on my bed, and thought I should write my dream down, but it was so vivid I knew I couldn’t possibly forget the details. When I woke again later I had forgotten all the details.

I do recall that Dale had some very intimate knowledge about me that he couldn’t possibly know, and didn’t know a lot of stuff that he ought to. He seemed like a nice guy, in spite of everything.

Has anyone else had a freaky night time visitation from the undisputed?

Well, last night I dreamed that my favorite sandals were accidentally thrown in the garbage and hauled away, only to show up about a week later at a city-wide yard sale, where I re-bought them for 10 cents (plus the 30 cent tip the seller requested). Do you think my sandals were just a veiled reference to the Undisputed? I mean, the word does end in DAL....

I'll admit to being a cross-fippler, but thankfully have had no dream visits from Dale!

I could be mistaken, but wouldn't fipppling a cross be considered sacreligious? :-?

I not only dream of Dale, but I sleep with him every night... of course, it's *my* Dale, and not the undisputed... at least not in the same frame of referance... he is *my* undisputed though, LOL!... well, unless of course, I'm wearing the horned helmet at the time...

as to why he's appearing in *your* dreams is not within my power to discern... perhaps you've been listening to the 'They Might Be Giants' song "Whistling in the Dark"??

No, but by coincidence:

I dreamed I was in church, singing, praying, taking communion, handling snakes, striking out evil spirits (we have a church league and I’m getting to pitch). All the usual stuff. Then, just as father Padre was casting out the first demon of the morning, from somewhere behind the building came the most obnoxious, blaring, rock and roll music we'd ever heard. And to top it all off...some kind of loud, shrill, whistling sound going 'diddly-eye, diddly-eye'.

We stopped in mid out-cast. The congregation formed a mob, then we had a brief prayer. Our focus was a little house in back of the church. We were about to go to the source, snakes in a sack, our biggest brother intently in the lead - when an old granny stepped forward and asked, "What would Hamish do?" We all returned to the pews awaiting guidance.

Anyone have any idea what this might mean? The internet is such a great resource!

I *told* you that fippling that cross was going to bring trouble!

I think the night Dale enters into my dreams is the night I finally realize that I spend to much time on the board and slowly disapear from the message board :)

Martin,

I was planning on staying at your house in London at one point, but now, well, I'm not too sure... Is there a lock in your extra room? :-)

(a lock in case you might want to reach out for one of my whistles...)

Don't worry Azalin - the stairs creak, you'd hear anyone coming!

(Actually, Martin's house is really nice and if you get a chance you should definitely stop by!)

After the collection you had in Miltown, Azalin, I'm afraid you'll be disappointed!

Edit - that reminds me, can you send me Joyce and Wendy's email addresses please?

Not sure if this post is a joke or not, but in case it's not, check out this thread:http://chiffboard.mati.ca/viewtopic.php ... highlight=

If this is truly a cooincidence, it's a really weird one.

No idea about Hamish in this context, but spelled Haimish it's a Jewish/Yiddish word from the German -- literally "home-ish). It connotes a person or thing that is down to earth, simple, good. Very complimentary. Jimmy Stewart was haimish, Liberace was not...

Never dreamed of Dale to be perfectly honest...just the usual dreams of meeting Martin, walking down the street holding a bucket of ducks - all the while whistling softly with thoughts of amourous twitterpations for his pet fish. Just the usual.
