How much time do you play whistle?
I try every day, no problem with my Dixon low D, it's quiet, but when I play my Alba high D outdoor...it's strong

You missed out 20 - 30 x per day
Waiting for:
the kettle to boil,
a web page to load,
somebody to vacate the bathroom
etc
playing along with a tune on the radio/CD etc
learning a new tune - little and often works best for me i.e. 2 or 3 tries,
then leave it, return later e.g. 15 - 30 mins.
to annoy the teenagers who play music too loud in my home
In fact any opportunity that arises

No whistles were harmed in the transmission of this communication.

I try to practice every day but don't always fit it in. Between half an hour and an hour serious practic ealmost every day. I'll also pick a whistle up to play a couple of tunes several time a day so I might end up playing for twice that amount of time—a whistle is handy all the time. I play other instruments so some go unpracticed for quite a while if I'm concentrating for that time on others. I'm not happy unless I'm playing music for at least 2 hours a day on at least three different instruments.

I play every day but not for extended periods. I play 2 or 3 tunes and then set it down for a half hour then pick it up again. I usually play 2 or 3 different whistles each day, whichever happens to be my favorite at the moment. I probably would make better progress if I spent more time trying to learn something new.

I play pretty much everyday.
I try to get a solid half-hour or more block in the evenings, (and another 20-30 minutes a day after lunch), but I get a lot of whistling in during odd moments: waiting at stoplights, while watching the news on TV, waiting for programs to compile, while running tests . . .
Probably totals 1-2 hours on a typical day.

during the summer and other breaks from school, usually every day, but when I'm stuck in my stupid college dorm, very rarely.

I know just what you mean, Ron.
Unfortunately, due to my oddball work schedule, I only get to play a few days a week, except when on vacation. But then, I did just get my brand new Alba Q1 this week, so perhaps I'll be able to play a bit more often while the wife is sleeping without fear of waking her!!!

Let's just say it's inversely proportional to the amount of time I spend on the internet!

When I play, I play 30 min-an hour a day, more if possible. The problem is that I go for months without playing sometimes due to life getting in the way, being obsessed with another instrument, or whatever. Yesterday I played so much I was starting to get "whistle lip," where my upper lip starts feeling it. Anyone else have that?
