Does anybody here has dots or a simple recording they could share of the Shaker song "More Love"? I have a request to play it, but i don't think i know it.

Not too many Shakers around. I think it may be that whole mandatory staying single thing that's holding them back. Don't know.

Yes, there are a lot more Movers than Shakers these days...

But they did make very beautiful music (and furniture!).

jeeze glauber I have a hole tape of Shaker tunes. I listen to it all the time. I wish I could figure out a way to copy them onto my computer. The back up is a hammered dulcimer and drum. The voices are incredibal. My brother sang one of these tunes at my mothers funeral and knocked my socks off. Corse he has a killer voice anyhoo. I`ll have to check to see if the tune you came up with is on the tape. And thanks for the link.

Hey, for the heck of it, here's the recording. Nancy Goodwin sings, Paul Burgess keyboard, yours truly playing long notes on the flute. I think it turned out nice, very stark.
