Here's an update:

We know a *little* bit more on my mom's cancer. Her tumour is of the 'invasive carcinoma' type, which is not really good news, but it's the most common type of cancer, apparently. Also we know it's at the first stage.

We still don't know if the cancer's spread anywhere.. my mom's going to talk to her doctor tomorrow and try to get the blood tests and X-rays results back ASAP.

So there are still difficult times ahead, though it was nice to know that the cancer is at an early stage.

Once again, thanks for your nice words. They really do help.

:)

Hi Emilie,

Fingers crossed for your mother's speedy treatment & recovery.

Yours strikes me as a tight family anyway, even if you're spread around the globe right now, but it's times like this that remind us what a great support our families can be.

C&F are an extended family too, and we care for all our friends and their families too. Lots of good wishes and prayers are going out for your mom all over the world.

best wishes, Martin

Emilie I went through this with my mom. Be strong, be positive.
Attitude, attitude attitude. That is the key. If I can help in any way please don`t hesitate to email me. And please don`t underestimate the amount of energy it will take to get through this. Share your feelings with your family and make sure they are doing the same. Above all make sure you have a way open line with your mother. Every fear every apprehention. Don`t hold back and let her know she can share her feelings with you. I wish you the best.

Hi! We got some good news today! :)

My mom got her blood tests and lung X-rays results back and everything is NORMAL! :D She still has to go to her echography on Friday (to see if the cancer's spread to the stomach region), so it's not over yet.. but it sure looks more promising than it did a couple of days ago.

Thanks again to you all!

A friend sent me a stress website that I think would be appropriate now. Just click on the link, and take a simple test to tell if you have too much stress in your life:

Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

I'm obviously under no stress. I saw both dolphins clearly.

Welll I also saw two but the one on the right only had one ear.
Is that worth a couple days off?

Great news, Emilie. We're all living on borrowed time. Make the most of it.
