I dropped a package in the mail to you yesterday, Tom. It's a "welcome home" gift. Hang in there buddy. You have lots of friends who care.

Ditto to both of these sentiments especially, and all the others too. You may be suprised how much we enjoy your company Tom, so get yourself well so we can all shoot the breeze again together soon.Whistlin'Dixie wrote:Tom, I always look forward to your posts ~ I will miss you while you're away. Take care, and get well, Brother.

Well folks, I have been sitting here at my keyboard for a couple of hours now trying to think of what to say to you all. But I`m not sure that I can express my graditude in simple words. How does one respond to this kind of giving, of support, of love, of kindness and kinship. Realy I am at a loss. I know a simple thank you would do, but it just doesn`t express what I feel inside.
I got home last night in time to through a saddle on Molly and with Hank running beside us we headed for the mountains. Went to the top of one with an unresrtricted view and watched the sun go down. Simply marvalus.(no the drugs didn`t make my spelling any better)
I met some great crazys in the coocoo nest. I think they will be life long friends. We talked for hours in private. Shared our tools so to speak. Realy quite a bit happened in that short period of time and I am still "qolating".
I went to see my old draft horse boss today as well as spent 2 glorious hours with 27 magical gaints. They all remembered me and I won`t try to explaine my feelings with 15 twentyfive hundred pound animals all squeezing around little old me for a scratch and a hug. He wants me back as a driver and what ever else my legs will let me do.(everyone he`s hired since or little falling out has quit. He just doesn`t get it.)
I spent that hole time away with out a whistle or flute so you know what the rest of my day is going to be used for.
Things are looking pretty good right now.
I love you all and my music today will carry my thoughts of you and your kindness and love.
Tom
