There's a company called Starlight that sells a flashlight that works by shaking it. A heavy magnet bounces up and down inside a coil of wire, generating a current, which is stored in some kind of capacitor. It's guaranteed to take a beating and is supposed to function for 50+ yrs. I saw one at a fair and later saw an ad somewhere for them.
http://tinwhistletunes.com/clipssnip/newspage.htm Officially, the government uses the term “flap,” describing it as “a condition, a situation or a state of being, of a group of persons, characterized by an advanced degree of confusion that has not quite reached panic proportions.”

The fine Waldco line is not sold in stores. It is available for only nineteen easy payments of $19.95. You might be thinking, "Waldco must be crazy to sell them so cheap," but we do it by direct volume selling, and passing the savings on to you!jim_mc wrote:...a Waldco Rechargeable Flashlight?
Don't be fooled by other products bearing similar names, such as Black & Decker or Ronco. There is only one Waldco Rechargeable Flashlight, and it bears the Waldco Seal of Qualitative Quality! This assures you of genuine Waldco luminescence.
But, wait! There's more, if you act now you will receive an original nonautographed copy of The soon-to-be bestseller, The Librarian Conspiracy, from Waldco Press. But only if you act now!
Operators are standing by!
Call 555-WALDCO

Sorry, no cod or carp.
