Tell us something.: I used to be a regular then I took up the bassoon. Bassoons don't have a lot of chiff. Not really, I have always been a drummer, and my C&F years were when I was a little tired of the drums. Now I'm back playing drums. I mist the C&F years, though.

Ugh. I guess I don't mind the poll itself so much. But I don't want to know how old people are, where they are from, how long they've been playing, whether they've served or like pets, nor whether they shave their armpits. Call me a grouch, but there you have it.

grmph. ;)

Bloo, you old crab, sometimes you should just be quiet. Now I have to respond just to aggravate you, right?

Served? Well, I was a waitress the summer after I graduated from high school (my assessment and that of my boss: this young woman should not work with the public ;) )
No, I don't like pests - but we put up with you anyway
Armpit hair? People have armpit hair?

Tell us something.: I'm a New York native who gradually slid west and landed in the Phoenix area. I like riding on the back seat of a tandem bicycle. I like dogs and have three of them. I am a sometime actor and an all the time teacher, husband, and dad.

I think posts containing explanations and comments are more interesting than poll results. I grow my 'pit hair into dreadlocks, just like the hair that grows out of my ears.

Very much agreeing with jim_mc. I think polls are a quick way to get the "temperature" of the community on a certain topic - they also have the advantage of being likely to get information from people who read but don't post. Of course, quality of information depends on the topic and phrasing of question/answer options.

They do seem to come in and out of fashion here (recent observations only, of course) but they don't plague my life; neither are they the first thread I head for when reading here in the morning.
All we have to decide is what to do with the tune that is given us.

I think they're fun. Hey, if you don't like 'em, ignore 'em right?
