Hi folks, hope you are all well during these strange days.
The wife is going to buy me a whistle for my brithday and its in July. I am wanting a Goldie high D without the tuning slide. I have emailed Colin to ask him about this but could be a while before I hear back. Whats the chances of him making one for me? I know that a chieftain buskar doesn't have the slide but its a Goldie i want.

Usually Colin (or Brigitte) responds fairly quickly.
Colin does like for you to call him and have a chat about your specific preferences.
A few months back I was wanting an Alto F whistle. I called Colin, he played several F whistles over the phone, and we ended up agreeing on a particular one, which I bought. It came amazingly quickly (from Germany to California in just a few days) and the whistle is superb.

Hi Gary
Colin's phone number is on his website. Any time I'm looking for him, I give him a call. His website only shows prices for 2-piece whistles, but he'll be able to tell you if he'll make you a non-tuneable one or not.

- Tell us something.: I'm a fiddler and, latterly, a fluter. I love the flute. I wish I'd always played it. I love the whistle as well. I'm blessed in having really lovely instruments for all of my musical interests.
