what is this place?
what is this place?
I've dreamed of this place many times...chiff and something or other...but now...is this real?
Nothing is so firmly believed as that which is least known--Montaigne
We can easily forgive a child who is afraid of the dark. The real tragedy of life is when men are afraid of the light

- Tell us something.: "Tell us something" hits me a bit like someone asking me to tell a joke. I can always think of a hundred of them until someone asks me for one. You know how it is. Right now, I can't think of "something" to tell you. But I have to use at least 100 characters to inform you of that.

Picture a land where random acts of whistling are the norm...
...where bizarre metaphoric contortions, surreal self-portraits, the music of the Celtic tradition, and heated debates of philosophy, politics, and religion somehow contact and interact with one another in ways that mere thought cannot explain...
...when you begin to accept these things, when the outlandish is considered commonplace, when selling your beloved spouse's motor vehicle and sacrificing your offspring's college education to buy yet another overton low D seems perfectly reasonable...
then you know you have entered....
the Fipple Zone. (cue music)

- Tell us something.: Been a fluter, citternist, and uilleann piper; committed now to the way of the harp.
